One of the “7 Greatest Rides on earth” is how Bicycling Magazine ranks the Sonoma Wine Country cycling experience (alongside the likes of Tuscany, Crested Butte, and Moab). Healdsburg, the gem of the Sonoma wine country, is playing host for its 28th year in the Harvest Century Bicycle Tour.
Join other pedal enthusiasts on road and mountain bikes, skinny tires or fat, as they take on the moderately challenging ride through Alexander Valley, Dry Creek & Russian River Valleys (the 3 notable AVA’s that intersect in beautiful Healdsburg). Distance options include 23, 37 or 60 miles, gradually increasing in difficulty. The 23 mile route is rather flat, while the 37 and 60 mile routes have more rolling Hills and moderate climbs.
After enjoying the beauty of the valleys from a bike, be sure to check into one of the charming bed and breakfasts or grand hotel suites that make Healdsburg such a popular destination (make reservations early---it’s their very busy season!).
Included in the registration fee is a fresh fruit and baked goods breakfast, maps for the various courses, a limited edition Healdsburg Harvest Century bandana, replenishing snacks and waters at rest stops, and a catered gourmet lunch.
Note: Registration ends July 11 at 5 pm. On day of bicycle tour 6am-9am is check-in time.
