Come and explore the Sonoma coast for seaweeds that can be used as food, medicine and fertilizer. This event will teach visitors the history, how to identify, use, and how to sustainably collect Sonoma coast seaweeds. Plus, Heidi Herrmann (sustainable agriculture instructor and farmer) will have 1oz. seaweed packets for sale at the presentation. Additional Information: Heidi Herrmann is a local farmer and owner of Strong Arm Farm in Healdsburg. She has taught Sustainable Agriculture at Santa Rosa Junior College for six years, vends at the Sebastopol Farmer’s Market, and is an experienced seaweed harvester.
